Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

Rock 'N' Roll

My Baby shakes and shivers like a jelly do,
She dance the Mashed Potato and the Boogaloo,
She’s flunkin’ outta school but well-a bless my soul,
She tops the classes when it comes to rock ‘n’roll,
You could think to outperform her but try as you might,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

Better Go! Get out of town,
Better Go! Throw yourself down,
Don’t y’know – she’s a jivin’ queen,
Don’t y’know – she’s so hip it’s obscene,
She can rock through the day, she can rock through the night,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

She shocked the local Vicar and the Rabbi too,
By shakin’ round her hips like she saw Elvis do,
And Mrs Alabaster says it’s just a crime,
When she saw her move her body in Polka time,
And the local Fishmonger got such a fright,
My Baby is rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

Better Go! Get out of town,
Better Go! Throw yourself down,
Don’t y’know – she’s a jivin’ queen,
Don’t y’know – she’s so hip it’s obscene,
She can rock through the day, she can rock through the night,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

She’s movin’ outta town and down to Hollywood,
Where she can make a fortune like they said she could,
She’ll dance for film producers and-a rock their world,
‘Cos she’s a jivin’, movin’, groovin’ small-town girl,
Then hit the Big Apple and she’ll take a bite,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

Better Go! Get out of town,
Better Go! Throw yourself down,
Don’t y’know – she’s a jivin’ queen,
Don’t y’know – she’s so hip it’s obscene,
She can rock through the day, she can rock through the night,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

But now I think I’ve lost the best there’s ever been,
‘Cos she’s dancin’ in the movies and the TV screen,
Still I’m certain that one she’ll come a-dancin’ back,
When the world has changed and rock ‘n’ roll is outta whack,
But she can handle fallin’ down from such a height,
My Baby’s still Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!

Better Go! Get out of town,
Better Go! Throw yourself down,
Don’t y’know – she’s a jivin’ queen,
Don’t y’know – she’s so hip it’s obscene,
She can rock through the day, she can rock through the night,
My Baby is Rock ‘N’ Roll Dynamite!
